Putt-Putt can reach the desert with the help of Toby once the latter is all fueled up. It is only important to come here if Pep is in the Old West.
There are tracks corresponding to different animals and if followed, Putt-Putt can eventually find these animals.
In the Desert storyline, Pep is lost in the desert and Putt-Putt must follow his tracks in order to find him.

- In the Old West Pep storyline, Putt-Putt says, "I'll bet Pep is here somewhere.", but in other storylines, he says, "I wonder where they go?" instead.
