Napoleon LeRoach is the main antagonist and the leader of the evil organization S.M.E.L.L.Y. (the Society for Meaningless Evil Larceny, Lying and Yelling) in Spy Fox 2: Some Assembly Required. He is a tiny cockroach who is trying to get revenge on the world because of the way he was treated, all just from being small. He first began to think this way because he once tried to enter the World's Fair after waiting in line for over twelve hours to see the Famous French Pastries of the Past exhibit, but was denied entry because he was not tall enough to go through the turnstile. Taller children laughed at him, and he vowed that one day he would be the one laughing at them. He tried to use his Giant Evil Dogbot to take over the world in the name of S.M.E.L.L.Y.

LeRoach had rigged a series of cogs between the Dogbot and the turnstile. Whenever someone walked through the turnstile, the Dogbot's internal mechanisms would be wound bit by bit. When the counter reached one million, the Dogbot would be fully functional, and LeRoach would use it to conquer the world by destroying every turnstile he came across. As a precaution, LeRoach had the OFF Switch removed so the Dogbot couldn't be deactivated even if the code was set correctly. However, Spy Fox managed to get past any obstacles, retrieve the off switch, and infiltrate the Dogbot. After finding out Fox had disengaged the menacing Dogbot, LeRoach made his getaway and escaped into the sewers.

LeRoach devised his backup plan to simultaneously activate a series of toasters hidden inside the Dogbot, which would create a dark cloud from the smoke of burnt toast. Afterwards, LeRoach would escape to Fiji by way of the sewer pipes. But the program to activate the toasters had a "bug" (virus) in it, and he was forced to delay his plan to get rid of it. As this happened, Fox, who had gone in after LeRoach, redirected the pipes, flushing LeRoach directly into SPY Jail.

He makes a cameo appearance in Putt-Putt Joins the Circus oddly enough as a flea.

Trivia[]

  • LeRoach was inspired by Nick Nack from the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, while his name and motif is based after Napoleon Bonaparte.
