The Magnet is an item featured in Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside, and Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove.

Putt-Putt Joins the Parade[]

Putt-Putt will find his magnet hanging on a nail in Cartown Toy Store, where he had left it a week before the events of the game. Putt-Putt can use it to clear Red Street of the nails scattered across the road.

While the magnet can be obtained in all storylines, it is only necessary to obtain it if Putt-Putt needs to mow lawns or deliver groceries on Red Street.

Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside[]

Pajama Sam will need the magnet if his lunchbox is stuck in the deep waters of the cave or if he needs to get his mask from Darkness' living room. Sam will find the magnet hanging on the hook behind the revolving bookshelf, but he will need to either use the dumbwaiter or King in order to get it as the magnet is behind the bookshelf, which will prevent the player from getting it while the bookshelf and Sam are in the same room. 

In the Cave storyline, Sam will need to use the magnet to get his lunchbox out of the cave waters as it's too far away for Sam to reach with his hands.

In the Darkness' living room storyline, Sam will need to use the magnet to get the nail off a small island that is surrounded by lava in the mines since it's too dangerous for Sam to reach for it the old fashioned way.

Using the magnet on the water meter in the mines (only if the Land of Darkness question involves the water meter number) will result in the water meter going crazy and King warns Sam to be careful with using the magnet on it.

Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove[]

A magnet is needed to get an army medal from above the water.
