The Rope is an item featured in many Humongous games. It made its first appearance in Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo.

Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo[]

Putt-Putt will need the rope in order to rescue Kenya the lion cub. Putt-Putt can find the rope in the igloo located in Arcticland. Once Putt-Putt has the rope, he can use it to rescue Kenya from the ledge she is stuck on (Putt-Putt will need to go to the top of the waterfall from above in order to rescue Kenya).

Attempting to use the rope on Kenya while at the bottom of the waterfall would result in Putt-Putt saying 'I don't think I can toss the rope up to Kenya. I might be able to lower it down to her if I can get to the top of the waterfall.'

Attempting to use the rope to help Zanzibar would result in Putt-Putt saying 'I don't think I can reach the little hippo with that. It's not long enough'.

In the demo, on the other hand, the rope is already in Putt-Putt's glove compartment.

Putt-Putt Travels Through Time[]

The rope only appears in the Water storyline.

In the Water storyline, Putt-Putt will need the rope if Tobias T. Train needs to fill up on water. Putt-Putt can find the rope in Virgil Clyde's barn. Putt-Putt will then need to use the rope to grab hold of the water tower spout and pull it downwards so that Toby can fill up. After that, Putt-Putt will let go of the rope, which will cause the spout to send the rope flying away.

Freddi Fish 2: The Case of the Haunted Schoolhouse[]

The rope is one of five possible items necessary for the trap. The rope is located outside Captain Schnitzel's submarine, but it's tied up in a knot and Captain Schnitzel doesn't know how to untie it. To get the rope, Freddi and Luther will have to untie it themselves. With the Book of Untying Knots (found in the sitting room, which is above the room where the cork could be) they can find the method to untie the knots of the rope on the anchor much easier. Untie the right knots in the right order, and you'll obtain the rope (which replaces the Book of Untying Knots).

The rope can be used to try to get the purple sea urchin on the ledge next to Crab Invaders, but it would fail as it's not long enough.

Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside[]

There is a rope attached to Ms. Tree and is used by the Custom Inspection trees as a booby trap for Pajama Sam, allowing them to take his things. After he gets down by the player clicking on Sam, Ms. Tree lets Sam borrow the rope. Sam can then use the rope to retrieve the wooden plank from the river, but he loses the rope in the process.

Attempting to use the rope on Darkness' treehouse would result in Sam saying 'My rope's not long enough to get me into that treehouse'.

Trivia[]

  • Originally, Captain Schnitzel was going to be tied up and Freddi and Luther would get the rope by untying him, but this was changed to the rope being tied to an anchor in the final game.
