Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise

Mr. Baldini is one of the Putt-Putt characters. He is a yellow station wagon whose voice and mannerisms are all Italian stereotypes. He owns "Mr. Baldini's Grocery Store", which appears along with him in Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo, Putt-Putt Enters the Race and Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise. He, like most of the Cartown citizens, is friends with Putt-Putt, and usually sends him to deliver produce to people, and sometimes gives him coins for it.

Appearances[]

Putt Putt Joins the Parade[]

Mr. Baldini can let Putt Putt deliver some groceries to cars in order for him to earn money for a carwash (or a color change) if the player chooses to.

Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo[]

Mr. Baldini makes a brief appearance when the game starts. He asks Putt-Putt if he can deliver some Zoo Chow for Outback Al to feed the animals before the zoo opens and Putt-Putt accepts. Mr. Baldini is also heard on the radio and later seen in the audience of cars during the grand opening of the Cartown Zoo after rescuing all the animals.

At one point, Putt-Putt tries to take a picture of Mr. Baldini with his camera but he already did. That's why the picture of him is unused.

Putt-Putt Enters the Race[]

Mr. Baldini asks Putt-Putt to collect fresh produce from the farm. After Putt-Putt collects the 3 items, either 2 types of vegetables and 1 fruit, 2 types of fruits and 1 vegetable, or 3 types of vegetables, he earns 2 coins.

Putt-Putt Joins the Circus[]

Mr. Baldini appears on the billboard in Cartown.

Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise[]

Putt-Putt visits Mr. Baldini to get either sugar or flour for Pep's birthday cake. He was also invited to Pep's birthday, and was shown at the party.

Trivia[]

  • It is possible that he could be based off a Fiat 1100 Station Wagon a small family car produced by Fiat from 1953 to 1969.
  • For Mr. Baldini's voice, actor Scott Burns uses an Italian accent that closely resembles that of video game icon 'Super Mario'. This is ironic, as Scott Burns was the voice of Mario's enemy Bowser for a while (2002-2010).
