A point and click adventure game is a type of graphical video game, characterized by a user interface dominated by the mouse. Point and click adventure games usually involve a main character or group of characters which appear on the screen. The player can click on objects on the screen, causing the character or characters to interact with them in some way.

Point and click adventure games have seen a significant decline in recent years due to improvement in computer graphics systems. They reached their peak in the 1990s, the first (Enchanted Scepters) being introduced in 1984.
